The villages of San Miguel del Eden and El Ocotillo are near the town of Comayagua. They are comprised of about 40 families who have never had clean running watter. We met with the village in June 2008. They were so excited about the possibility of water and anxious and willing to do the work. It is ver steep from where the source of the water is to the village. It is a very strenuous and dangerous hike.

April 2009 was the date of the inaguration and ceremonial "bucket drop". We were so excited to see the first "pilas" (washbasins) and hiked to five or six families. They were thrilled that they had not only water but a pila as well. They will now be able to bathe, wash hair, wash dishes, drink clean water and all the other things that many of us take for granted every day.
